Overview
These Subscription Terms of Service ("Subscription Terms") govern your purchase and use of any recurring paid subscription plan offered by Rhinely. They are in addition to, and do not replace, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By starting or maintaining a paid subscription on Rhinely you agree to these Subscription Terms.
1. Subscriptions and Billing
- A subscription gives you access to the features described on the plan's product page for the duration of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, as you select).
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle and your saved payment method is charged the then-current plan price for the next cycle.
- Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
- We may change subscription pricing or plan features from time to time. Price changes apply to your subscription starting at the next billing cycle after we notify you by email.
2. Payment Authorization
When you start a subscription you authorize Rhinely (and our payment processor) to charge your saved payment method automatically for the recurring subscription fee, on each renewal date, until you cancel. You are responsible for keeping the payment method on file valid and up to date.
3. Failed Payments and Retry Policy
If a scheduled subscription payment is declined or fails for any reason, Rhinely will attempt to recover the charge automatically before any service interruption. The retry schedule is:
- Day 0 — Initial failure. Your subscription status moves to "past due" and we email you that the payment failed. Service continues uninterrupted.
- Day 1 — Retry 1. We re-attempt the charge against the same payment method. If it succeeds, the subscription returns to active and no further action is taken. If it fails, we email you again.
- Day 2 — Retry 2. We re-attempt the charge. Success returns the subscription to active. Failure triggers another email.
- Day 3 — Retry 3 (final). We re-attempt the charge one last time. If this attempt also fails, the subscription is automatically cancelled and your access to paid features ends. We email you a cancellation confirmation.
If a retry attempt succeeds at any point in this window, no further retries are made and you remain on your existing plan with no service interruption. You can cancel your subscription at any time during the retry window to stop additional charge attempts and additional emails.
4. Communications
You will receive email notifications for the following subscription events at the email address on file: initial payment failure, each retry attempt failure, automatic cancellation after the final failed retry, and successful recovery of a previously failed payment. These emails are transactional and you cannot opt out of them while you hold an active subscription.
5. Cancellation by You
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until that date.
- We do not pro-rate refunds for partial unused periods.
- Cancelling stops all future renewal charges and all retry attempts on any outstanding failed invoice.
6. Cancellation by Rhinely
Rhinely may cancel or suspend your subscription, with or without notice, if:
- Your payment fails and is not recovered within the retry window described in Section 3.
- You violate our Terms of Service or Acceptable Content Policy.
- We discontinue the product or plan you are subscribed to, in which case we will give you reasonable advance notice and a pro-rata refund of any prepaid amount covering the discontinued period.
7. Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where expressly stated otherwise on the plan's product page. We do not refund partial billing cycles when you cancel.
8. Plan Changes
- Upgrades take effect immediately. The new plan's price replaces the previous one starting at the next billing cycle; you keep your existing paid period and gain the upgraded features right away.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep your existing plan's features until then.
9. Limitation of Liability
Rhinely is not liable for any losses or damages resulting from service interruption caused by failed subscription payments, including loss of access to designs, listings, or fulfillment workflows during the retry window or after a subscription is cancelled under Section 6. It is your responsibility to maintain a valid payment method on file and to monitor the failure notifications we send.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
